KFD-9 Implementation Notes
Authoritative decision · Formal reference · Documentation map
KFD-9 is a numbered draft. It promotes Pursuit from an elaboration candidate to the canonical continuing-direction coordinate.
Adoption shape
An adopter should preserve an immutable Pursuit version plus lineage across revision, decomposition, fork, pause, settlement, abandonment, and supersession. Relation types remain explicit; a generic parent-child edge must not silently carry authority, perspective, completion, or trust.
The Domain Profile owns concrete success policy, hierarchy, lifecycle terms, storage, and presentation. A simple local goal may project a Pursuit while the work remains session-compressible.
Qualification
Retain evidence that:
- one direction survives several Episodes, tools, sessions, or participants;
- plan revision differs from direction revision, fork, and successor;
- prospective relevance, technical success, progress, completion, and settlement can vary independently;
- child progress does not silently settle a parent;
- the independent Pursuit becomes visible only at the declared complexity breakpoint.
Migration from the candidate
The numbered decision and formal reference now own the draft rule. The candidate remains public genesis and qualification lineage.
